  1. Greetings, I'm looking for a source for wide rear fenders and wide cycle fenders for my Caterham. We are planning to autocross the car and would like to cover the 10" wide race slicks. Any information is appreciated. Does anyone know in Kinetic Vehicles is still in business? I understand they have the old molds from Curtis Unlimited. Thanks! MAX
  2. I'd be interested in a get together sometime in the Spring/Summer of 2022. We're located in Eastern Washington. and Yes we were at the Kennmore ABFM. We were showing our Orange Caterham R400. Regards, MAX
  3. If you do get this car know that each license office is different with various levels of experience. The one where I live is now very experienced with Caterham/low cost/ and other Lotus vehicles. (I was their learning case) It’s also on the eastside of the state where shall we say we have a bit different perspective on government rules. I’d simply try to just license the vehicle through my local license agency here in Moses Lake. MAX
  4. There is a provision in Washington state that you can register a custom replica vehicle as the original, for example, a custom 2006 Super 7 can be registered as a 1963 Super 7. If you do this the benefit is that the car will be recognized as a vintage vehicle in Washington State and you only need to register and pay fees once for the car. You will need to take all the sales documents to the DMV so they will set you up with an appointment for WSP inspection. The WSP will want a bills of sale for chassis, engine, gear box, body and rear end. Serial numbers are a must. The WSP will beat a serial number into the car. You’ll get some documents from them so you can title the car. Be prepared to have to get a bonded title if you go this direction. That will cost you $$$$. Now all of this information is available on line from the Washington DOT and WSP. I would read it carefully. Now having said that if the car has been licensed and registered in another state you should be able to go to the DMV and register and title the car. Now if the car has never been registered it should come with an MSO. (Manufacturers Statement of Origin). If you title the car using this method it will be titled as a new car 2021 and you’ll be paying registration fees for 30 years. I would recommend contacting the Caterham dealer in Bellevue about titling a car. His name is Bruce and he’s a good fellow. regards, MAX
  5. Looking for the factory dry sump tank for my Duratec powered Caterham MAX
  6. There are at least 2 Caterham dealers in California, Hillbank and Kampena motors. Contact them about what must be done. MAX
  7. Yes, but there is another member here that wants them. I’m looking into ways to ship the seats for him. The seats would have been sold several times so far but shipping costs are brutal. So check back is all I can say. Once they are sold I will post that information here.
  8. I Have a pair of Tillett seats from my R400 I wish to sell. Condition is almost new. Driver's seat has adjustable rails. Passenger's seat has fixed mountings. $950/offer for the pair. I have more pictures if required.
  9. This is Awesome! Question, is this an 8 Pin Tach? Thanks!
  10. Greetings Bruce, I have been trying to get ahold of you for a discussion on seats. I've sent emailing including one with my phone number so we can have a chat. If you like please PM me with your phone number and a convenient time to call. Thanks!
  11. The Stand is my own design and build. The body is attached to it using the normal chassis mounting holes. PM me if you want the design drawing
  12. Yes, Thank you that will be fine.
  13. Thanks Croc for the information. Yes my engine has the COP (coil on plug). If you happen to be close to your Caterham I'd be interested in knowing the part number on the back of your tach. Thanks!
  14. Greeting Croc, Here is a picture of the ECU: From a conversation I had with the folks at Caterham this particular ECU was supplied to Caterham from Cosworth when they were getting Duratec engines from Cosworth. Here is a photo of the back of my current Tach: It works, but only at half speed. Caterhams says its because this particular tach is for a 2 coil engine and I need a tach for a 4 coil engine. Unfortunately because of running specification changes at Caterham, they are having difficulty supplying me with the correct part number. So if someone on this forum can supply me with the correct part number for a 4 Coil Duratec engine using a Cosworth EC, that would really help my search. Thanks!
  15. I'm having issues with the tach on my Caterham. It won't rev past 1000 RPM. I've contacted Caterham about this issue. According to them the tach I have is for a 2 Coil engine and mine is a 4 Coil engine (210 HP Duratec). The Tach plug is square in shape with 8 Pins. The car also has the Cosworth ECU. Is there a way to get this tach to work with my engine? if not does anyone have a part number of the correct Tach for this setup? Thanks!
  16. Yes, Its my Covin Project (LOL). It should be on the road 2022. If you look close you can see the 5 speed transmission sitting in the front wheel well.
  17. The Caterham I purchased is very much like the one from BAT. It was the personal car of the Northern California Caterham Distributor. It was his vision of an R400. It needs a few things done, but it is fun to drive!
  18. Looking for Seats to Fit S3 Chassis. Let me know what you got. Thanks!
  19. Greetings, Max Here! Just wanted to say HI and I was wondering if there are any other Lotus 7 type owners in Eastern Washington?
