It's kind of difficult - especially when the meat walks right up to your back door!
This yesterday

So, we all get together (at Mazda's brothers place  ) and throw our keys into a bowl. Wait a minute, I've seen that film
Al, it's a deal - and you can try less power and less grip in return
-
Thanks for the advice guys, if I get the Scooby I'll spec different tires (I was going for a wheel upgrade anyway). I do like the infinity, but also need 4X4 as can't get up to my house in snow without it.
-
Thanks Al, I'm not keen on that much power through the fronts wheels, so the TL is well down my list. Will probably drive the Beemer and Audi's again this week.
-
Agree with Al, it's kinda difficult to be impressed by the steering feel of most tin tops after you've had a seven for a while. I've heard from a number of folks that the most impressive steering 'feel' they have come across is on the Elise/Exige. I haven't driven one so don't know.
However, I'm looking for a new car right now so have been test driving a few different marques in the so-called 'small luxury' segment. So far, the BMW 328 has impressed me most - both at low and high speeds (it loads up nicely as you go quicker). The Merc C class was very good, though I didn't feel quite as involved as with the Beemer. The Audi A3/A4 was fine at speed, but had a little too much play at low speeds for my liking. The Subaru Legacy GT was similar to the Merc. Still waiting to try the Lexus 250/350 and Acura TL (any feedback on these appreciated as I have to go to Richmond to test drive them...)

Looking good Jeff... the car sounds a little less 'frantic' - is that the new gearing or yet another example of my ever diminishing memory?
Always nice to see those Porches going backwards :jester:

A 'blat' is a drive in a seven.
The word derives (I believe) from the noise the engine makes - well, some engines at least - when revved hard. Blat, blat. blat...
Unless someone knows different...

Another vote for the Falken's
Great tire for the price.

Box, if your wipers are the same as mine - standard Caterham fit - then they're already intermittent. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't

Sorry, forgot you can blow the pix up by clicking on them... it is indeed a Cosworth - similar to this one here from the 7/7/07 bash

Can't remember who's it is - I'm sure someone here will lay claim to it.

77 looks beautiful (and fast). Is that the Cosworth 1500 engine, do you remember?

More pix...

She loved it. I kept hearing 'faster, faster' from the passenger seat.
The pace was quick, but not silly. The bar-b-que was the exact opposite of that

Very sad indeed. A good friend of mine knew the McRea's well, and I met him a couple of times through my work with Ford motorsports. He'll be sadly missed, as will the others involved in this tragic event I'm sure.

Fantastic 2 days of blatting fellas. Great weather, roads and food (even if it did take a while to cook).
Mazda
I'll post some pics tomorrow.

Still have not received my 'Low Flying'
But Al has kindly scanned his for me, so I should have a copy of the article on 777 to bring with tomorrow (if my printer ink doesn't run out). The good news for this little outing is that it has pics of Mazda, Scott and Bob (well, Bob's engine anyway) included. Nothing of me, though - probably just as well
