  1. I guess I will have to sleep in my primitive bare bones basic garage space assuming I am still alive after wiring up my hot water heater this weekend... I had my priorities right - I installed 2 beer fridges before the hot water! :cooldude:
  2. From the look of those skid marks I think you missed the apex....again! :jester:
  3. When I see lobster I normally think meat in the tail, shit in the head. :ack: I think I will pass on this lobster as it is a meathead type..... :leaving: Keep smiling Shane! :seeya:
  4. Two months of vacation in a warm climate sounds pretty good to me right now. Enjoy it! Sorry if I caused strife with the wife - but I could not resist

    2003 SV for sale

Mike - where is it headed? Forum owner?
  6. Hi Ron - If you are looking for hook ups then in California they use the Tinder app and other matchmaking apps! :jester: Have you moved out there permanently? Or are you shuttling back and forth from NJ?
  7. Sure - I did this trick on a 351 Cleveland. Head gasket breach into a coolant galley from an exhaust valve exit. The problem is that with sustained high stress running at high RPM it then soon breaches a firing ring and it all goes really pear shaped. May take longer on a road car. A head gasket replacement should fix it. To max a sale price a seller really should fix it since the discount buyers demand will be steep for this uncertainty.
  8. I would question whether it is transmission or engine oil and where it is weeping from? How many drops per day? I suspect it is not transmission but engine seal (not always a bad thing) - the question is which seal? If it is a minor leak, I would probably leave it, if major then to fix is probably an engine out job. Are you a handy person with the wrench? Having a quite a few old leaky things that subscribe to the Ford Corrosion Protection Program around my garage I am more tolerant of slow minor leaks than most people and just run with them.

  10. Many of you know Stewart (Sabbot on this forum) from his participation in the annual sevens track event in Millville NJ in his electric blue Caterham S3 with BD engine. Last weekend he was involved in an parasailing accident on the West Coast. Unfortunately he did not stick the landing (I do relate to this!) and so he is laid up in hospital with some serious back injuries which will take some considerable time and effort to recover from. I have talked with his wife, Colleen who, like all loving wives when cleaning up after their husband's inevitable "oops" moments, has taken charge of things and is working her way through what happens next. Given the situation, Stewart is not on phone or email so you cannot communicate directly with him but I told Colleen I would post on USA7s and provide her a link to this thread so she can read our posts to him. Its probably fortunate that he is on the West Coast as my first reaction would be to grab a quality bottle of scotch, a few glasses and hit the hospital to cheer him up. Get well matey!
  11. It is really nice - I love a good Crossflow. RHD will keep the price down and would be a non-starter for a lot of people. If I recall correctly he had bids to $22k on Ebay once before and it passed on them. I actually inquired about this car before I ended up buying my maroon 7 and never got a response. Hopefully it finds a new happy home soon.
  12. Interesting question. Lotus licensed the production rights to Steel Brothers of NZ. They were built from exactly the same blueprints, arguably with better quality assembly in NZ. Parts would interchange. Indistinguishable from a regular S4 - I have seen both types side by side and they looked identical to me. Same drivetrain. Would a purist say it is not a real thing and devalue it for that reason? Probably but then they value it higher based on it being shoddily assembled in a drafty chicken shed in the UK basking in the aura of Chapman who probably never saw it, touched it or cared for it. Logic says there should be no difference in value. Emotion says yes to value difference. Which is right? The person who wants the car at the end of the day will pay what they think it is worth.
  13. Great find Jim. It has been a few years but I remember that one. David Saville Peck used to build these in Canada. SV chassis with the Hayabusa engine and gearbox. Always beautiful workmanship. The numbers are lovely 256hp FWHP and only 1100pounds wet, 200 pounds lighter than a regular SV wet. 250 pounds lighter than a CSR wet. I guess some interesting exercises happened to get this into the US from Canada?
  14. Part 2 Locost in Charlotte. SC Title, 1.8L 3TC Toyota engine. T50 transmission. Asking $9500 https://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/5501106089.html I would swear this has been on this thread before from the paint scheme alone I cannot find the ad to cross check and the seller says in the ad that it has never been offered before? http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/cto/5509218055.html Asking $24500 GBS Zero kit in MI for sale at $2100 https://annarbor.craigslist.org/cto/5497080615.html Remember Hemmings and classiccar.com are also out there to search.

Quite a few Panoz AIV roadsters out there for sale right now if that floats your boat? My vote for Salesman of the Year goes to Streetside Classics as they do their very best to sell what is left of a Panoz AIV. Look at this literary genius: Just brilliant! That is a masterclass in how to approach selling what is a very difficult thing to try and sell. Beers on me if you are over in my neck of the woods. Asking $27995 if you are interested. 2015 MEV Rocket. I think I hear the mating call of MrMustang with this one. He loves a financially troubled seller. $10000 BIN. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replica-Kit-Makes-MEV-Rocket-/172147030624?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2814c33a60:g:sE4AAOSwQjNW9dJe&item=172147030624
  16. Well I saw one person having a run at Lightning yesterday getting up to speed with the track for the first time. Car looked good and sounded good. He is going to be ready for July! So who on our list of 20 did I see? The organization begins. I met Carolyn yesterday and booked a karting slot for the Friday afternoon before the track days at 3pm. Pool party was organized for Friday night (pretty easy - regular burger menu and make sure someone is serving the window onto the patio). We will get stuck into refreshing motorsportreg.com sign in page shortly.
  17. Has anyone thought about the Motus V4 Baby Block as a potential seven engine? 1650cc 180hp at 8500rpm Gearbox and engine is nice and compact at 225lbs together wet weight Data sheet here http://www.motusmotorcycles.com/files/v4.pdf Sounds pretty good from the audio files on the page here http://www.motusmotorcycles.com/american-v4 or here http://www.motusmotorcycles.com/files/Motus_MST_3000_rpm_Pass_By.mp3
  18. Just a reminder to everyone to book your Millville hotel rooms early as the overflow from the Jersey Shore usually books out some of the hotels that weekend and it can be difficult to get a hotel room at late notice. This usually does not apply to the NJMP pit suites as these are only reserved by track users staying overnight.
  19. Yep -Taber has got it spot on. Gert goes by the forum name of "Slomove" if you want to pm him.

  22. I would be worried about crashing a drone too! I still remember the day we had a "Dangers of Drones" presentation at our annual conference and the guys managed to crash it full tilt into the CEO. I had enough crashes with remote control aircraft as a kid! :svengo: The drone footage makes the video in many ways - such an evocative sight of you carving corners sweetly through the hills. :cooldude:
  23. Thats pretty quick for a professional quality video. A TV commercial for 30 seconds would be days. I suspect it was only a small team say 4 people and a drone pilot to make it all work? Drones are banned at NJMP because of Millville airport. Milford is out because of Van Sants Airport. Bear Mountain is out because of the light aircraft corridor on the Hudson, White Plains Airport and I suspect proximity to West Point College. There is no way a amateur can match the quality of Petrolicious videos - we can dream though!
  24. Now that cracked me up laughing! The video is wonderful. I love how Petrolicious present cars. How long did it take them to shoot all the video of you?
