Hi, I don't know if this actually sent properly from the private message link, so here it is again.
Hey Loren, hope all is well with you and your family. Thanks for the reply. I did already replace the front shocks with 8243-5 QA's, these are the shorter shocks and they have heavier rebound damping. All I had to do to repair the 8253 shock was order a new shaft and replace it, now I have a spare set for the rear.
I also attached a set of cable stops so that when you jack the car up the heims aren't supporting the weight since the shock is not at full extension. I will probably order a set of valves later to change the 8253's to the -5 since these shocks seem quite easy to work with and the valveing will be cheaper than complete shocks.
I haven't had it back on the track yet will have to wait until march , I also realigned to more track settings -1.5 camber all around and 1/16 toe, it feels amazing on the street so the track should be even better.
thanks again

Hi Mike, thanks for the reply, I am very impressed with your build. When I totally retire and have dedicated space I hope to build an early model as you are, my Ultralite satisfied the need immediatly and who says you can't have 2. Did you see the road tests in my album? I could e-mail them if you don't already have copies or originals of them.

Hi Jim, those roads are in my back yard used to run my Yamaha out there a lot. got the plates on the 7 later than I wanted so the roads stay wet in the shade and gravel and leaves, I'm playing real cautous since this thing grips so good I just don't know it at all, right now I can drive my '73 toyota p/u faster. I have been driving it when the weather permits, just throw on the helmet and vest and go. It would be great to get together and talk, I'm really impressed with you and the others that have built from scratch I am hoping to when I get some spare room to keep a project in but this car and the people I meet will help me see which way to build a personnal car for me. Also I talked with Bill Murray at the Oregon Raceway, just before they canceled the Nov date, he mentioned another 7 driver must have been you and do you know Pat Cheney?
