Brunton Stalker AXR #3

I've been a long time autocrosser and this past year decided to step up from my STR MX5 to an E-Modified Stalker AXR. It doesn't hurt that my brother, Scott builds them, and I had driven my dad's M-spec a few times in the past few years.

With all the upgrades they made with the AXR to fit the big tires and the new suspension, it seemed like a great time to jump on board with the rest of the family and start racing a Stalker.

It is powered by an LS1 engine (stock from an 04 GTO), T56 transmission, CTS-V rear end with independent suspension.

Penske shocks, 13x10 front wheels, 13x14 rear wheels with slicks help to put the power down and grip through the turns.

While we are still early in the development phase of the chassis, it has been quite fast so far this year at the big SCCA solo events we have done. We still have a lot of work to do to catch the reining class champion (rotary powered Sprite), but we're going to give it our best shot and really focus on optimization of the setup and drivability of the car.

I'm also looking forward to getting the car on some tracks for some HDPE's. Hopefully get to see some more 7s out there at the autocrosses and at the tracks. As I've learned over the past few months, it really is a ridiculously fun car to drive.
