If you didn't want to buy the whole assy, you might be able to get some 3/8" hard line (or whatever size has the proper ID), cut off a short section and JBWeld it around the broken piece to reinforce it. Lotusfan Posted December 31, 2020 Share Posted December 31, 2020 I think I would try to fill the crack with glue by expanding it with the screw, then remove the screw and put a small clamp on it. If that doesn't hold, fill the holes with epoxy, then drill small pilot holes and use smaller screws with washers to fasten the lenses. Only costs a bit of time and glue to see if it works. It is like a thin cloth that she cut into two thin strips, wrapped around the screw threads which in turn reinforces the whole screw thread.
