This Caterham Seven Super Sprint was reportedly purchased by the original owner as a kit in the summer of 1997 and was purchased by the third owner in 2018. The third owner listed the car for sale on BaT. Some of the enclosed pictures are from the BaT sale. The present owner acquired the car in December of 2019. Power is from a 1.7-liter Ford Kent Crossflow inline-four paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. The car is finished in polished aluminum with yellow accents and features dual Weber carburetors, five-point harnesses, a roll bar, heater, and more. This Seven is registered as a 1997 Caterham Super Sprint and is now offered with a full soft top, side curtains, an assembly manual, and a Clear Tennessee title.


The polished aluminum main body panels have been left unpainted, while the fenders and nose cone are finished in yellow. The finish, hood louvers, and other trim are shown up close in the gallery below. The black side curtains and rear tonneau are shown mounted above, and a matching soft top is also provided.



Minilite-style 13″ wheels are mounted with Toyo Extensa tires displaying 2017 date codes. Braking is from front discs and rear drums.



A black bench seat is equipped with harnesses and rubber mats protect the floors. Features include wipers, a Clayton heater, and a three-spoke Mountney steering wheel.




Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer, as well as gauges to monitor oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. Prior to the seller’s purchase, a new five-digit odometer was installed to replace a faulty unit that showed approximately 9,900 miles when removed. An estimated 400 miles were added by the previous owner. The current milage shows 1432.

The Seller is asking $35,000 or best offer.




The Ford Kent Crossflow inline-four displaces 1,700cc and is coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox and a live rear axle. Induction is handled by two Weber carburetors capped with K&N filters, and the car is equipped with an electronic ignition system.
