Just a reminder that the Hopewell Cruise Night is this Friday, May 2nd. Details here

As an additional inducement to attend, Bryan Boyle has arraigned for Ed Kollin of Exxon-Mobil to give a talk at Lotus of Hopewell around nightfall. Ed is a long-time manager of the engine lab at Exxon...he has a lot to say about lubes for older, flat tappet cam cars, the problems with SM grade oils, and what to do about it. (Even Elises have flat-tappet cams on the "performance" lobes of the camshaft!)

He's not selling anything...just straight talk from someone who's spent 30+ years in the industry developing additives, a lot of work with corrosion in little used engines like ours...and developing anti-wear/anti scuffing technologies.

Also, a few of us will be driving into town in a spirited manner...from Route 31. We plan to meet up on the last few miles of the 2006 Spirited Drive route about 5 PM. Email Atwell if you would care to join us.

Sounds like A GREAT NIGHT OUT!

The next day (Saturday May 3rd) is the Britfest Car Show in Succasunna, NJ, one of the biggest British car shows in north NJ. While not an official LEO event, we plan to re-run one of our Spirited Drives after the show, starting about 3 PM. See us there if you care to partake!

The last reminder is to be sure and pre-register for the June 14th Touch of England show...that IS an official LEO event! They always have a ton of door prizes, and it's a wonderful time on the shaded lawn of the Hermitage House in Ho Ho Kus. Entry form on the LEO events page, above.

It's spring! Time to get your Seven out on the streets!
