Boston Area Events and Mailing List

I maintain a BCC mailing for events that are likely to be of interest to Lotus owners in the Boston area. Here's a sample of the latest email, although the emails are generally announcements for a specific event with a link to discussion/info. If you would like to be added to the mailing list, PM me your email address.

 

The season started early with the massive showing of cars on the 15th in Woburn. [edit: including a Birking. Anyone here?] So, what's next? Pete is already planning more events like that one and I'll keep you posted.

 

Driving events for Lotus owners are still in planning. Due to insurance reasons there may be restrictions on some of these events if you are not at least a member of Lotus Ltd. ( http://www.lotuscarclub.org/ ). If you were considering joining Lotus Ltd. it may be good to get it out of the way now. More details to follow.

 

If you're an active member of Lotus Ltd. please let me know.

 

There's already talk of returning to Hurricane Mountain Road early in the season and I've started to eyeball a different route to get us there.

 

Other driving events, lunchtime gatherings, Kimball's nights, etc. are TBD

 

The calendar is starting to fill with dates for a number of regular car shows. This is just for planning and I'll send an email as each event approaches unless otherwise noted.

Gene puts together quite a ride with a mix of great cars starting at his residence near MA and ending on the CT coast.

British Car Day at the MOT (Brookline, MA)

It's THE British car show for Bostonians.

I expect we'll be meeting for breakfast again at Cabot's in Newton.

BTW, it's the same day as British by the Sea in CT. Someone dropped the ball on that one.

Northeast Exotic Car Show (Merrimack, NH)

Jeff Torrey is pulling it together again for the New Hampshire Make-A-Wish Foundation. It's generally one of the more attended events among the Lotus crowd and for a good cause. Do come and invite your friends.

British Invasion (Stowe, VT)

This is a popular British car show, but like the European Union car show, I don't know anyone on this mailing list who is going. Last year we came close by driving around on some great roads in central VT while those at the show looked at their cars.
