After 35 years of Porsche driving I took my 2002 Kent powered 7 (new too me)out to the Colorado mountains without the Misses (finally). WOW! It didn't take long to move from 2X's the posted speed with the Porsche to 3X's in the 7. With good roads ,no guard rails, twisting unfamiliar roads and almost no traffic it doesn't get better. I"m not the baddest guy on the block but when you knock off 2 cars and 2 motorcycles in a short up hill passing zone on a 2 lane uphill road that roar of the engine at 6K is exilerating! I wish I'd bough a seven years ago before I retired.

Don't forget there is a Se7ens Gathering in Colorado Springs in July. I'm sure they would love to have you. I wish I could go but life keeps getting in the way. Russ

I totally agree. I had a 911 and loved it in so many ways. My kent powered 7 is just on another level of driver involvement and at much more rationale speeds. I can't imaging 260 HP in a seven. That would make things happen much to fast for me

I spent about a year researching and driving SC's through 964's before switching course to a 7. Zimmerman's 'Used 911 Story' should have been reason enough for the change of heart. Frankly, it's amazing 911's get around as well as they do, given their design. It's much easier (and less insane) to find the limits on a 7. And you don't need to take out a line of credit with Dieter to get it fixed.

But I bet deep down you would love to try! :D We are all looking for the next level of driving thrill.

True. Some day an svt zetec swap will happen

I do intend to get a nice white or red 84-88 911 cabriolet as a run-about for the wife some day. Like an old ex girl friend I can't get Porsche out of my head
