  1. That looks like my spark plugs after my engine run lean on a trackday session.(due to alternator failure and a fuel pump that couldn't keep up) http://csr200.blogspot.se/2013/05/engine-damage.html Hope you are better off, my pistons and block was damaged and are now being replaced.
  2. On the CSR there is plenty of room in front of the engine and it is possible to remove the front cover with the engine in place. At least with the dampers removed. (I did it this winter) Also, on the CSR (Titan dry sump, but looks very similar to Cosworth's) there is a slot in the end of the stud.   3. Here is a CSR 260 with Geartronics Paddle shift and Quaife 60G 6 speed sequential Gearbox.
