This 1993 Caterham Super Seven HPC is finished in red with a black top cover. It is powered by a 2.0L Vauxhall Red Top inline-four. The engine was tuned by Swindon in the UK and is rated at 218HP. The 45 DCOE Weber carbs were rebuilt by the expert - Pierce Manifolds. Jet kit included.
Compression check indicated all cylinders 200 or above.
A Ford Sierra 5 speed transmission powers a limited slip differential with de Dion rear suspension. The car has independent front suspension with 15 inch Minilites and four wheel disc brakes.
The convertable top has side curtains. (Who puts the top up on a Seven?)
The black seats are covered in leather and the steering wheel is an 11 inch Motolita.
The new spare tire and wheel can be attached in minutes with hardware included for road trips.
The car has a tonneau cover and a complete car cover. 5 point belts.
The car was reportedly first assembled from a kit in Texas in the mid 1990s and was subsequently titled by a Caterham dealer in Delaware.
Many spare parts, books and tooling included.
The car has a clean and current Nevada title and is currently in sunny Palm Springs, California.
Mileage is really unknown but I suspect 12-15,000.
This car drives well, corners well (is there a Seven that doesn't?) and accelerates like it has 218 HP! (Oh wait, it does!)
I like it, the wife doesn't - FOR SALE - get it?
