  1. This Ford Kent crossflow 1,600cc engine was built in 2007 by BHP in Allentown, Pennsylvania and features 10.5:1 compression pistons, a Cortina 295 camshaft, and dry-sump oil pump. It was destined for the selling dealer’s Caterham 7 autocrosser, which was traded for another car before the engine was finished. Affixed to a stand and stored in a climate-controlled showroom ever since, the engine has been reportedly hand-turned every couple of years. Over $12k in receipts detail the build, including parts from Burton Power in Ilford, England, British American Transfer in Sarasota, Florida, and Fred Heistand Automotive in Manheim, Pennsylvania. The seller states that this engine would be appropriate for many applications, including a Lotus, Caterham, Formula Ford, or Van Dieman racer. This Ford Kent crossflow engine is now offered on a bill of sale in Quarryville, Pennsylvania with a spare block and a Tilton race clutch. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1895-ford-ford-1600-x-flow-engine/

  3. These were engineered by Bhp in Bethlehem PA. to fit our 99 Caterham 7. If you are looking for an AX shock, these should be awesome. Only 2 runs at 1 AX last season before we sold the car converted back to stock for the new owner. They were built by Advanced Racing Suspension, and the Eilbock springs were 275 front and 250 rear. We invested over $2,500. here,...just make me a reasonable offer. More info at http://www.aicauto.com/gallery.asp?id=30 John
  4. These wheels and tires have less than 5 runs on 'em Tires are 225/45x13 Hoosier A-6's, and the wheels are 8x13, offset to fit a our Caterham 7. New, the Compomotive CR lightweight wheels were $1400., and the tires $800. or $2,200 total. Make me an offer! More info at http://www.aicauto.com thanks, john
  5. We built this to replace the stock motor in our Caterham 7. The goal was to get as much low end torque out of a 1600 for AX, and still be streetable. There were two Caterham's and one Lotus 7 locally that were known to have screamer x-flow motors. Ironically they were all built by the same guy, so,,,we decided to use Bhp in Bethlehem to engineer ours. Unfortunately we sold the Caterham before this motor was completed. Here are the details: This Kent crossflow 1600 motor, would be perfect for any Lotus, Caterham, formula ford, or Van Dieman. The engineering goal of Bhp in Bethlehem was to design a reliable high torque, lower RPM motor to make my Caterham 7 jump out of the corners at the Autocross, yet still be streetable. The target with Weber 45dcoe's and a standard ignition system was about 145hp, or with an injection set up, about 160hp. The block was cooked, magnafluxed, line bored, decked and bored to .060 over. The crank was cooked, magged, reground and polished to spec, the rods were resized, rebored, and reconditioned, then fitted with properly machined .060 pistons, to clear the stainless valves, and yeild a compression ratio of about 10.5 to 1. The alloy head was machined to fit larger stainless valves, and a full needle bearing roller rocker assembly from Tilton was set up with a custom "Cortina" cam by Bht performance in Bethlehem, PA. (295 lift, 230 duration @ .050) They also flowed and polished the head as well. The whole assembly was then assembled with ARP hardware, and balanced by Ober's Performance in Lititz, PA. Includes a Tilton Cerametallic Rally race clutch assembly, a custom alloy flywheel, a BAT 5 port dry sump pump, with a Clubman tank, and Oil cooler, and enough stainless hose and fittings to plumb. Also includes another 1600 X Flow block, cooked, magged, and ready for a spare. We have invested well over $12,000. here, but are open to realistic offers, as we sold our Caterham before this motor was completed..
