I think this is a pretty neat package: What I have is a 1,022 cc COVENTRY CLIMAX Featherweight engine that has been converted to include a 12-volt starter motor and LUCAS 45D distributor, A LUCAS C-40 generator, AC mechanical fuel pump [with priming lever], and a 4-into-2 tubular header. It also comes with a MAZDA 6-speed gearbox with the front end of a drive shaft [so your local driveshaft man can fabricate something with that serving as the front, if appropriate.] The shift lever is alleged to be moveable to suit your application. Being an all alloy, overhead camshaft engine (with an alloy gearbox) it should be light enough for a SEVEN and, with a 6-speed box, be good for all speed ranges and road conditions. A COVENTRY CLIMAX engine was used in the prototype Colin Chapman Lotus 7.
The engine, I understand, was completely disassembled, evaluated, found in fine condition and re-assembled. I have no specific history of the carburetters so assume they will require jetting to suit.
At this point I'm entertaining offers.
