  1. Yes its a great picture. That car now lives in Kelowna, Canada. Cheers.
  2. Incorrect. I 'm on this forum because I own a 7. That's it. I have been a car guy all my life and would be more than happy to shoot the shit with anybody you owns an interesting car. However trying TO PRETEND that anything else other than a Caterham is the real deal is bordering on .......................You figure it out? I have had dozens of kit cars during my business years, most of them are a blast, good fun and far better than the big 3 turn out, but I'm NOT STUPID enough to think that they are any more than that. A KIT CAR. get a life
  3. You can't be possibly be serious. Look at the frame work the welding and thee alloy work on a Caterham then look at the same on a Stalker, Locost, Birkin. I looked at a stalker last week its absolutely dreadful. We need to remember that the reason that there are so many copies is the real artical the Caterham is so bloody expencive. I agree it is. But please lets not now try and convince ourselves that all are equal. Deception is a deadly poison. Hey if that's what you want, it turns your crank and you think its cool go buy one. The reason people don't buy the Caterham is always the money which I totally understand, the Caterham is bloody expensive. If you spend 50 grand on a Caterham in 2 years it would be worth 30/35 if you spend the same on a Locost it would be worth 18/25 If you don't believe me ask all the classic and sports cars dealers and most wouldn't even touch a Caterham let alone the cheaper copies. Having been in the Lotus7/Caterham business since 1975 and have had over 200 of them I think it is just a possibility that I could be on the right track. However I have been wrong before. In the end my fake Rolex may look the same as yours BUT IT ISN'T its just a fake. TERRY:banghead:
  4. But a Birkin they're much better. If you don't believe that but a Locost, even better:banghead:
  5. I'm afraid that Canadians have a major identity problem, ask most Canadians who they are and they will say "we're not American's" Great:_deadhorse:
  6. Dead right and it did. Light the blue touch paper and stand well clear. Jeremy Clarkson says if you want a responce ask and English man if you want a reaction ask an American. UM.....! I think he's right. DONT GET GET OFFENDED LIVES TO SHORT. IT ALSO A CHOICE.....! LOL
  7. The Power Commander makes a HUGE difference to the Busa engine not only does it make it smoother but increases the snap. My car here
  8. OK may be my comments were a little, shall we say explosive. If your offended I apologise In the 35 years that I have owned Caterhams/Lotus 7 I have had many opportunities to drive Westfields, Locost and Birkins, all loved by their owners, at the risk of offending again, I have to say that when it comes to quality the moderen replica doesn't even compare to a Caterham, not at any level. I agree that there is a price premium when buying a Caterham, yet on the other hand you have the real item and not a budget imitation. OFFENCE NOT INTENTED :banghead:
  9. My suggestion is either buy a Lotus 7 or a Caterham most of the others are close to worthless when second hand the Caterham and the Lotus hardly depreciate. Terry
  10. Please note that the intended gathering of The LOTUS 7 Club (Canada) at Knox Mountain Hill Climb has been cancelled due to a lack of interest. Although we do anticipate several owners and their cars will be at the event, including ourselves, all originally planned activities are off. Terry Johns The LOTUS 7 Club (CANADA)
  11. Please find your attached copy of the May 2008 Caterham Maple Leaf News, a bi-monthly Newsletter from 7CARS, Canada’s only Used Caterham dealer. In our last issue we talked about our 1st National gathering of the Lotus 7 Club here in Canada at the world famous Knox Mountain Hill Climb. With only 3 weeks before this event can I encourage all of you who have yet to make a decision, that this event should not be missed? Please send us an email if you plan to attend, as very shortly we will need to make the final arrangements and knowing who plans to attend will help us to make this event a great success. We are thrilled that we have been invited by the organising committee of the KMHC and look forward to a special time with other 7 enthusiasts. See you on the hill. Terry Johns Area Rep. for western Canada THE LOTUS 7 CLUB
