Thanks for reaching out. As I am sure you are aware most people that buy vehicles like to negotiate. The price listed is the asking price, I am obviously open to offers on the vehicle and people might be surprised at what I am willing to accept.

Also, it passed its last MOT in England and it has never had any advisories for rust/corrosion on any previous MOT's. With all of that being said, it has a solid chassis.

In 2001 the owner at the time decided to take the Caterham to Caterham Midlands to get the Roadsport engine upgraded to the Supersport specification which increased the horsepower to 133HP from the original 115HP. The engine is a 1.6 liter four cylinder fuel injected Rover K-Series engine. This is a very sought after configuration in the United Kingdom. We imported this Caterham from the United Kingdom. We bought this off of an individual outside of Wye (Kent), UK. Up for sale is our 1997 Caterham Super Seven Sprint with the 1600 GT (AX Block) cross flow on twin 40 carburetors. This Caterham was a home built vehicle and then it was sent back to the Caterham factory for inspection/ registration which is why it does not have a Q plate which is for kit cars and has a proper "R" registration plate for the 1997 model year. The previous owner replaced the gearbox with a Type 2 4-speed straight cut close ratio Quaiffe unit, with a a rose jointed gear stick, this gearbox is good for up to 175 horsepower if you choose to upgrade the engine. This car is an absolute blast to drive and is very quick. This Caterham comes with a large stack of service records and MOT's as can be seen in the last photo along with all of the original letters from Caterham corporate to the original owner. This Caterham has the classic Lotus colors - polished aluminum, green nose, wings and yellow stripe. Hello everyone! I have for sale my recently imported 1998 Caterham Seven VX with the Vauxhall 1600 8V engine built by Holden Australia on twin 45 carburetors with a De Dion rear axle. The car comes with proof of build including engine installation, complete service history, MOT history and receipt for every item. It has been upgraded with 4-pot ventilated front discs, uprated calipers and brake pads as well as uprated brake hoses for better performance and safety. Other features include a removable MOMO steering wheel and full wet weather equipment. The Uniroyal all-weather tires have only 500 miles on them. Also included is a new Monsoon Winter Cover with a locking kit. I imported this Caterham from the UK through my import dealership Peregrine Motors LLC. This Westfield engine was professionally built by the world renowned Burton in the UK and I have a stack of service records as well as all of the original build invoices from Westfield.
