  1. Sorry for the thread drift, but I wanted to get this message to Speedwagon: As a prior S-1 owner, I know that the Superformance national distributor in California has 3 windshields in stock for the S-1 if you need one. Call them and talk to Dave Cope. They will help you out.
  2. Thanks for the general interest. The car is SOLD.
  3. PRICE CHANGE MADE. Now accepting best offer over $20,000.00
  4. The rear storage is lockable. You might be able to fit a very small space saver spare in there...I haven't tried. The handling was "dissed" by one anonymous guy in an autocross video on the net. There was no basis for his comments or reference provided of his credentials to justify his comment on the car. Frankly, it sounded like someone with a inherent bias (kind of like the lifelong Ford vs Chevy feud). And, there is no information provided as to the tires, set-up, or skill of the driver mentioned. If you search the forum, you will see that I also owned a Westfield Seven previously. I don't want to start a feud here, but the S1 is a much better handling car when set up properly. Naturally, as with any car, you have to be willing to invest the time in setting it up (ride height, corner balance, alignment, spring rates, damping settings, etc.). I was pleased when I made the switch.
  5. WOW! Great responses. Several have requested additional photos. Here they are:
  6. As the ad posting mentions, it has a top. There are no other options except the second set of wheels and tires and the cover. It has the Zetec 2.0 with Weber injection that has been properly tweaked. The original Dyno Rated HP is 187 according to the engine builder's charts.
  7. I own S1 number 53 of 56 with approximately 2,000 Miles on it. Built in 2004. Have complete build records from original owner. Two sets of wheels and tires...the original silver set with less than 500 miles on them, and a set of black RAYS forged aluminum wheels with Falken Azenis tires. Pictures show both. Also includes a cotton cover. There are very small and minor rock chips on the lower front edges rear fenders (all 7s get them), otherwise the body is perfect. I have the top assembly, although I have never taken it out of the box. It is titled in my home state of Texas as a 1965 Lotus Seven and is free and clear and in my possession. SOLD
  8. I puchased this car a few months ago from Lamborghini Chicago. I was actually looking for a Superformance S1 and was unaware of this site at the time I found the Westfield. One week after the Westfield arrived, I found USA7s and Fredsters perfect S1. I bought that car too....so, the Westfield is back on the market. Here's the description... Here are a list of parts 'new' on the car in the last 18 months: Dash Switch & warning light set Nitron competition shocks & springs Front & Rear Anti Roll Bars Competition steering wheel Quick release steering wheel boss Nylon suspension bushings Carbon effect rear lamp kit Carbon effect round fog lamp kit Carbon effect round reverse lamp kit AP Racing 4 pot caliper upgrade kit AP Racing brake master cylinder for use with 4 pot caliper upgrade kitENGINE: Ford Kent 1700cc engine Twin 45 DCOE Weber carbs. High Compression Pistons Oversize Valve Competition Sump with full length baffle 13 row oil cooler 5 speed manual with short shift LSD 3.9 ATS forged wheels Curtains Full tonneau and top The previous owner also dry-sumped the engine (not an inexpensive item mind you), and there are Elise seats in the car as well. I also have the original seats and wheels. I paid $20,000 and would like to recoup my investment. The car is original Westfield Red with a tan interior. It has a little over 11,000 miles and is registered as a 1965 Lotus in Texas. Manik Technologies, the US Westfield Importer, knows this car well and can vouch for it. The car has been very minimally driven since I purchased it...sitting in a climate controlled garage under a cover. ALL INTERESTED PARTIES: Call me on my Cell Phone at 919-349-3933 to discuss the car. It is still available as of 5/26/2008.
