Looking for well sorted LHD Caterham or equivalent
Greg Davall replied to Greg Davall's topic in Cars Wanted
I had no idea that these “club” tracks existed. Do you have to be a full member for track time or are there other associations that rent the track for specific events that I could sign up for at less than the $10k+ one time membership fee? -

Also came with a bunch of spare and alternative parts (10” slicks for example). One of my first purchases will likely be 13x6 fronts and 13x8 rears with the Nova tires once they are available…. -

1993 Caterham Super Seven HPC Evolution - SOLD!
Greg Davall replied to Stang70Fastback's topic in Cars For Sale
Hi, I tried to go thru all of the posts but couldn’t tell.. is the roll bar FIA track approved and does it have a Petty strut? i understand you removed the hand brake which is required for NH inspection— do you still have it? Thanks! FYI if you are into trick bikes you might check out Motion SBK modified Ducatis. Brad Miller can put together a world class race bike that is sort of street legal… I’ve owned a couple of them.. -
Retrofit handbrake for early HPC
Greg Davall replied to Greg Davall's topic in General Sevens Discussion
To the best of my knowledge, hydraulic line locks are not legal hand brakes in NH. I just got done installing a linear actuator (hot rodders E-Stopp) in a highly modified Healey — pulls the e-brake cables with 600 lbs force and stops — to pass the hand brake standard in NH for that car. thanks ! -

Retrofit handbrake for early HPC

It was apparently never installed. No hardware under the dash.thanks! -
Does anyone know of a kit or thread on best way to accommodate a handbrake on a 1993 HPC Vauxhall 2l with Dedion and disc brakes? Needed to pass state inspection.. DPR Motorsport told me theirs wouldn’t work “out of the box”…, Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance for any advice! I’m an ex-bike racer on the east coast and it looks like I’ve found my Caterham. I’d like an instructor to help with 4-wheel track days in the 7 in 2025. Any suggestions prior to just “signing up” for track days? Unlikely that I’ll go all the way to SCCA solo but I’m a strong believer in learning as much as I can from others….. Thanks in advance! Greg

The engine upgrades are great! Is it still wet sump or has that been upgraded as well? is this front suspension dead stock standard “S” and is it the wide or narrow version? Thanks again! Greg

Intended Use: Spirited street with a few track days/year. Would rather compromise track experience and be able to drive to events than trailer only full race - appreciate ability to set ride height, damping, preload, toe in, etc… for better track days… Must have’s: Left Hand Drive Around 200 reliable HP or ability to “get there” Either DeDion or IRS Fit me (6’1”, 34” inseam, 205 lbs, 11.5 shoe size) Pass NH registration or ability to “get there” Bonus if currently registered as >25 years old due to relaxed NH inspection requirements. Generally NH needs windshield, wipers, horn, hand brake and emissions for VINs titled newer than 25 yrs old. Would Like: Wide stance front suspension upgraded fully adjustable Nitron’s or equivalent race capable roll bar that will pass me in broomstick test SCCA legal harness hydraulic clutch (not just mechanical cable) heated windshield/defrost full weather kit with top, side curtains tonneau, etc. some cockpit padding so my wife won’t be so freaked out in local cruise mode OK cosmetics — not looking for showcar 420r if could find it and not break low $40k’s with all “musts” and most “wants”. well taken care of with tasteful upgrades Thanks in advance for any questions, suggestions or recommendations. I own several other toy vehicles and am looking for the Colin Chapman minimalist, lightweight is everything, fits like a glove with nothing extra (beyond what NH requires) experience. Extensive track time on motorcycles— appreciate what well sorted sevens are capable of under skilled driving. Very much respect the knowledge and experience within this forum! Greg

My intent was that I was looking for either DeDion or IRS either in Caterham or other Seven’esque build. I am not interested in solid axle. I am not interested in Right Hand drive. I would consider both 5 or 6 speeds. I sat in an HPC S3 at the British Invasion recently at Stowe VT and can work the pedals in bare feet (and likely racing shoes). Really liked the Bosch injection in that HPC but not sure how difficult it would be to get another 20% power without going carbureted. Also, that particular car had cable clutch and I would prefer hydraulic due to multiple injuries sustained in sports injuries… Would also prefer the wider stance front suspension with fully adjustable and tunable coil overs. thanks for the ability to clarify.. Greg

Hi, is this Caterham still for sale? If so, please contact me. I’ve begun my nationwide search for a personal use LHD, Duratech, S3 (6’1”, 200 lbs, size 11.5, 34” inseam) or SV that has or can get to around 200 reliable HP. For spirited street driving and a few track days/year. Would prefer true Caterham but would consider others with DeDion or IRS. This car is at the top end but within my price range. I’m traveling on business for the next week but will be back at my home in NH after that. Car will be registered in NH so I have to “figure out” how CT “Composite” translates into NH registration…. Thanks in advance! Greg
