  1. I was thinking of trying the BP1 Brake light pulser: It appears to be made by WebElectric products http://www.webelectricproducts.com/ (you have to search as its a HTML framed page, can find a direct link to it grrr) as a kit for many cars, but also sold as just the little module, which appears to fit inside most any light. Anyone tried this? It does look perfectly simple and small, BUT no size is given.
  2. CATERHAM USA! I'm happy to see your new announcement and that you are alive and well, HOWEVER I placed an order 2 months ago, with a response from 'BEN' However STILL no word on the status of my order. I've emailed SEVERAL times, but NO ANSWER, NO RESPONSE. What could possibly be going on? thanks Is anyone getting a response on web orders or email to them?
  3. Also, what is the number stamped in, in dotted pattern? in top left (faint but perhaps readable) Is it perhaps a rebuilders stamp, or ??? Thanks see picture: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1393742954_dotpatternNumber.jpg
  4. Just to be sure of what you are all saying... The serial number I want is Position 1 (see labeled picture below) Not at Position 2? thanks all http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1731907301_IMG_0035_2.jpg
  5. Gary, In my case the car had to go through NYS vice squad inspection, he looked it up and told me the year. But of course, he may be just looking at what appears to be the Date stamp (way right) a circle with a 98 inside. Who knows where/ how the real data is stored or what format. It would be interesting to know the complete details on how all this is known and stored... and where. anyone? thanks
  6. Bruce thanks! My engine looks a lot different (starter not near there for example), but that BIG cast number is roughly the same place. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/2082836960_IMG_2515_EngineBlockNo.jpg but Above the manifold, there appears a more 'offical looking number' and even a date stamp. Could this be more informative, and perhaps what NYS wants? (I guess this is actually on the head not Block so who knows???) Also I noted (doesn't show well in this low res pict) at top left of head, just underlip, there is a more recent stamp, using a dotted stamp, (probably hammered in) That perhaps indicates a rebuild or something (I just guessing). Does anyone know what that is? http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/66438508_IMG_2512_FullEngineNoWithdate.jpg thanks all thoughts welcome. -geoff
  7. Have a new to me (used Caterham) which I'm trying to register in NYS. The law here requires I go through the Custom car requirements for NY. (as in building a HotRod). So I need on the NY forms, the serial Number, of what appears to be a 1998 Zetec engine. Can anyone tell me WHERE I find this number on the engine? :7rain: thanks much -geoff
