Northpole
I am replacing the original Airbox with a Pipercross foam filter. As I have very little space under the hood, I am trying to find a good suitable filter. I found one domed one from Pipercross (Pxc502d this is 65mm in height and only 40mm inside), but the internal space between the velocity stacks and the foam, is only 15 mm, it that okay? According to Pipercross, they recommend min 20 mm. I have all 4 stacks low, I replaced the 2 in the middle (that are higher) with 2 low ones) Other vice I would have to go for a higher filter. I am trying to avoid to cut a hole in the hood, and I can see the 65 mm filter will touch the hood inside on one side of the filter foam. I will probably have to cut a hole in the hood for best air to the engine or what do you think? thanks
