Birkin S3 shocks

What make , model and length of rear shocks are people using for a Birkin S3 live axle car . Pretty sure mine are too short as they are very near to topping out and I don't want to lower the car any more .

any advise welcome

I can get the info. Mine is a IRS model Birkin but a friend has live axle. I am pretty sure he uses AVO shocks 1.9 inch Dia. around 180lb. Will confirm.

You should also ask on the Birkinowners Yahoo forum. There have been years when front shocks were installed (I believe somebody Stateside) that were too short, bottomed out and bent the lower suspension arms. The guys can point you to the relevant documents. I forgot where to find them.

 

FWIW, many years ago I ordered Protech shocks in the UK. Quality shocks, reasonable price, short delivery and they knew how long they had to make them. Holding up for 11 years and over 50,000 miles now.
