jcaswell
Can some give me some input on what would be the proper thermostat temperature wise to use in my Zetec the motor is 95 to 98 Ford. Also can any one give me any input on the water temp sender replacement and I have vdo gauges. The thermostat housing is plastic and my temp sender screws in below the thermostat and has a single wire sender with a ground wire on the body of the sender with a washer under the threaded body of sender where you thread it into thermostat housing. James A
I can tell what worked on my car with the VDO water temp gauge but you need to look at your gauge, get the gauge number and insure this is the correct sender for you car. My car used VDO part# 323-095 which is a 250F-120C 1/8-27 NPTF sensor.
jcaswell
What model of car do you have, is it a Ford Zetec 2 Ltr? My car has vintage gauges fro approximately 1995.
James A
Yes, 2.0 L Zetec with a gauge from a 2001 Caterham. If you get a mirror or pull the gauge you can read the model number on the back go to the VDO website and figure out what sender matches to the gauge. I just pulled the gauge out.
