Road Ready
This is frustrating! I've finally gotten fixed some long-standing issues with my '07 Caterham home build and the weather will likely prevent me from taking her out on some of my favorite drives in the area. My favorite is the Blue Ridge Parkway which is only 20 min. away. They close it when the ice starts to form in the tunnels. That and the fact that it's a bit cold. 30 F and sunny now and it's almost noon. Those Avon tyres are optimized for warm/dry pavement, are they not? I'm personally optimized for warm and dry conditions. This means more time for planning. There are a host of windy back roads near Weaverville and Hot Springs, NC. Anybody thinking of future rides in the area; please keep me in mind. I took my car to Olthoff Racing in Mt. Ulla, NC. Dennis is the man in charge there. He specializes in the Ford GT40 and the Cobra. He couldn't resist helping me out. A fresh pair of eyes can make all the difference. In addition to the problems that I thought I had he found problems that I didn't know I had or was about to have. She still runs rich at idle but who idles for long? Any suggestions of what to check about that would be welcome!
