RickRa Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 My 2015 Caterham 7 280 has one Sterling immobilizer that stopped working. My second immobilizer works fine. Does the failed immobilizer need a new battery? If so, how do I obtain it? And if not, what is liklely the cause of the failure? I really hate these immobilizers. I only use the car on the track, so this bit of British technology is nothing but a nuisance. Can the immobilizer be easily eliminated?
Shortshift Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 Yup - it can be taken out of circuit quite easily if you know how. Perhaps not something to post about on a public-access forum, though, so maybe I can PM you. James
RickRa Posted September 11, 2020 Author Posted September 11, 2020 Did it work? James I haven't tried yet! Thanks so much for your help.
