patience Posted February 3, 2024 Posted February 3, 2024 Yeah, it's actually free, if you're willing to pay for the shipping. Specifically, it's a Avon ACB10 Sport, 8.0/22.0-15 (metric sizing 215/40-15), 80V rated, A31 compound. I use it for both road and track driving. Production code - 32nd week of 2019. Backstory - I ordered this tire as a replacement for one I blew on the road. The supplier (I won't name him to preserve his reputation, gah) sent me the WRONG size. I run 13" wheels - this is a 15". It took me several months to get around to replacing it, and when I discovered the mistake, it was way past the window for restocking. If you know anything about these Avons, you'll know there's a epretty limited supply of them, and this one cost me north of $400. All this was a few years ago, and the tire has been sitting in my garage sitting and collecting dust. I doubt anyone is in desperate need of this specific tire, and just one of them, but it might serve as a great spare or backup if you're running wide 15" rears. At any rate, I'd hate to just toss it out, or wait until it gets hard and brittle and turn it into a tire swing for one of the kids, if in fact someone else can use it. Since it's been sitting indoors, and it's never been heat cycled, it's still as soft as the day I got it. I think shipping on this would be cheap (you can ship via UPS just by putting a label on the bare tire).
