theBarrett Posted August 6, 2025 Posted August 6, 2025 (edited) This 1991 Caterham Super Seven is a right-hand drive example that was reportedly first built in the UK. It was later imported to Ohio in 2019. The exterior is finished in red and polished aluminum over a red vinyl interior, and power from a 1.7-liter Ford inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a De Dion rear suspension, Caterham roll bar, Caterham harnesses, adjustable dampers and electronic ignition. This Caterham is offered on behalf of the owner with a clean Ohio title in the owner's name. 13" black Minilite-style alloy wheels with Caterham center caps are mounted along with a spare and parts for rear mounting. Instrumentation includes a 150-mph VDO speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer and stack gauges for fuel level, water temperature and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows just over 18k miles, approximately 1,300 of which were added by the current owner. When current owner bought the car it was noted that: "The Ford Kent crossflow engine was rebuilt in 2013 by Vulcan Engineering in Kent, England. The block was bored to 1,700cc, the cylinder head was gas-flowed, and Wossner forged pistons, PEC forged connecting rods, an AP Racing clutch, an electronic ignition, and twin Weber DCOE carburetors were installed. The gearbox was reportedly rebuilt in 2014 and is said to feature an aluminum case. A tune-up was performed in 2019." Receipts from the 2013/2014 refresh and engine rebuild, passed UK MOT certificates, owner's manuals and handwritten service documentation are included in the sale. Side screens and a Soft Bits for Sevens half hood shown below fit in the trunk and come with the car. Purchased by current owner on BaT in Feb. 2020. Cincinnati, OH $30,000 Just got her back from oil change and clean up. Edited August 10, 2025 by theBarrett updated description 1
