breezy7 Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 My Caterham windshield has 3 cracks eminating from a fan shape on the passenger side and they are getting bigger so I am going to have to repair or replace it. I plan on trying a few auto glass dealers hoping that it can be fixed but if not will have to bite the bullet for a new one. I don't have any experience with glass repair, does it work OK? I'm sure it depends on the type of damage being fixed. Since it is on the passenger side and not a big area that is damaged as long as the glass quits cracking I will be satisfied. If it was in my field of vision or in a more noticable spot I would be more concered with the repair being perfect. I have checked Rocky Mountain's parts cataloge and they have a few options so will talk with them as well as the insurance company. Mike
slomove Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 I had a new windshield made with the old one as template for something like $80. That did not have the heater wires laminated in like the original but I live in California....
