Silk Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 (edited) The competition in Cumberland on Saturday was brutal, with the top 20 being about as fast as I can ever remember. Very intense! Jeff Duncan and his Ultralite snagged 6th. I was only about .3 seconds slower, but that put me down in 9th. Bill Smith continued to sort out his recently completed bike-engined Locost, and his co-driver brought it home in 25th place – definitely a good showing given the depth of the field. Sunday I fared better, finishing in 3rd. Jeff had an invasion of internal gremlins that kept taking him from full power to silence throughout his runs. He still managed to finish 12th, which is amazing given what he had to contend with. Mazda – we missed you! Hope you can make both Saturday and Sunday next month. And again, it would be nice if some of the other area Se7ens made the show. Results here: http://www.nationalroadrally.com/duel_09.html Gary Edited August 21, 2009 by Silk
