Inexpensive 7 variant to play with

I talked to the owner. He has raced it a lot, mostly autocross, but, at one time, it had a 300 plus horsepower engine for drag racing. It also has shag pile carpet. Hmmmm. Anyway, the gentleman claims that the car has a very reinforced frame and is not tired and in excellent condition. The 2T-G engine does not have a different crank. No cold/wet weather gear. I'm thinking some paint, seat covers and whatever else as long as it isn't tired. Could be somebody's fun, inexpensive 7 variant.
