twobone
Please move to the for sale forum if appropriate: No affiliation Hello Lotus Club members, After much deliberation I have decided to sell my 1965 Lotus 7 Series II as it is not quite what I am looking for in a vintage car. I would love to see it go to someone locally who will use it for its intended purpose: Vintage Racing. I should add that the car has never been raced; I inherited it from my father before he could race it. It is currently driven on road for enjoyment in the summers. I have emailed the Lotus Club as well as given information to the Vintage Racing Club of BC first. If this does not work I will expand my efforts elsewhere. I am looking for a car better suited to my tastes of low key rallying. I am willing to consider trades for early Porsches or Alfa Romeos. They have a little better weather proofing and comfort for longer trips. I have uploaded a photobucket webpage with pictures at this link: http://s1125.photobucket.com/albums/l590/Lotussouper7/#!cpZZ1QQtppZZ28 Email me if you would like any more info or maybe try to talk me out of it!! danilo
Sparkly car, seemingly fair priced. My colleague recently bought an original owner, 100% 'unmolested' '69(?) S3 for $27k Am wondering about the S2 bit though, having owned one of those for about a dozen years. I remember a few details. Not much "S2" on that car, is there ? Likely the Clamshells are semi recent replacements, while the rear fenders are clearly not oem, for an S2. Lotus Clamshells have the indents for the hood catches. Caterham ones do not. Not a big deal, but Cat clamshells do 'Lift' at speed, noticeably more than the Lotus ones did/do. Seats ? No 'seats' in an S2, nor that dash /instrument setup. Does present well though Surely someone will give it a good home. Likely not for the anorak 'collector' though.
