Speedsailor
Does anyone know the story behind this wrecked birkin. Turned up in a salvage auction after being written off. http://www.salvagedirect.com/asp/viewitem.asp?itemid=954212#pics I think it was this car: http://www.texasmotorworks7.com/vehicle/2536765/2011-Birkin-s-3-example-Arlington-Texas-76012 Sad end to what looked like a nice car, hope no one was hurt. Looks as if the Tillet seats and sequential box along with the electronic dash have been removed. Judging by the damage it got hit on the passenger side and bent the tub, looks as if there was a small fire as well.
Birkin42
Here is what Dick Brink sent out on the Birkin forum: Dear Birkin Owners: You are correct this was an terrible accident! It did happen to one of our customers back in November. We just learned about it today. The good news is that the driver came out of this accident only with some problems with his shoulder caused by the seat belt. They were racing style belts! It seems he was on a narrow road and in a curve a very large deer appeared in front of him. To avoid a direct hit on the deer and another car he lost control and rolled at least two times hitting a barrier in the process. Fortunately he got out of the car and could move ok. We are delighted that he survived such a terrible ordeal! He is also very happy with the protection the car did give him.
