success finally - cure for the xflow - weber jets

OK, so I finally found out what a clean running xflow is suppossed to feel like.

I dug into my webers and discovered I was running F11 55 idle jets. The standard spec is F9 50. I also replaced my idle needles. They were so worn they had lost their shape.

With the new idle jets and needles, I was able to do the "best idle" tune so easily and now she has no nasty flat spots, no backfiring and a super clean transition from idle to main jets.

Makes me wonder what the former japanese owner was thinking. He must have gotten some very bad advice in terms of idle jets.

Happy driving!

That's good.

I bought a used Weber/Alpha Kit from a Tiger Zetec owner in the UK last year.

The twin DCOE 45's have 40mm Main venturis, jetted to match and runs too rich when warm on my engine. I need to re-jet before getting to the track.
