Here is a link, it is long but worth it. An SCCA E Production race that went to grid in the dry and it began raining on the grid so the field was on slicks in the rain! The RX-8 and Caterham you see were 8 seconds a lap faster than the next car in the 32 car field!

This folks is car control! Oh the RX-8 driven by a 21 year old and the Caterham driven by an 18 year old.

You know Brad, I thought I was a good driver, decent racer, even better autocrosser, but from the day this kid got in a race car he is consistently faster than me, and not just by a little.

Very Nice Race.

Always nice to see good incar video from a Caterham.

He also showed good sense in passing. Although I am also careful when passing a HUGE car like an RX7..... At least they appear huge to the driver of a Caterham. They probably can't even see us.

Yes, almost everything looks huge when you are racing a Caterham. At a Rational (regional/national) race a while back we had low attendance so the big bore and small bore production groups were combined so we were out with transam cars as well as our normal competition. It was a blast, but getting passed by a transam car at the end of a straight is pretty dramatic!

And, you bring up a real problem, people don't see us, part of the reason we painted our car lime green!

Oh yea, the RX-8 has been on the podium twice at Nationals, we it is a quick car and a terrific driver.
