Hi,

 

I am putting a Lotus Twin Cam and a Type 9 Transmission in my Caterham. The transmission has just arrived from the builder in the UK, beautiful job, and he also included the rear shaft coupling out of the box to the drive (prop) shaft. It has a rubber donut type joint on it. Is this the normal/prefered method of connecting the 'box to the driveshaft? Seems to me that a Hookes type joint would be preferable here.

 

Just wondering if anyone has any experience or suggestions for the best set-up.
