WTB Birkin Bonnet latches.

I'm looking for the exact style of latch found on the 2001 year Birkin. They are made by Dzus, but have no part number.

They have the square lock button on the center of the flip lever.

I used such adjustable draw latches in stainless with safety lock from McMaster.

 

Not exactly the same as the ones installed before but pretty close:

Let me check in the garage I rent tomorrow. I imagine that you are looking for replacement parts for the set you have. I know I don't have a full set, which is why I settled on other latches. I can post pics tomorrow. Mine will be from a 1999 Birkin.

I lost one. Another one had failing rivets.

I only need one, but would like to have a spare.

I got caught up tossing my old BBQ, buying a new one and then assembling and cooking in it today.

 

I'll hit the garage tomorrow and gather them up.

The Birkin bonnet latches are manufactured by Dzus, and the description is an Under Center Draw Latch, stainless steel with a Secondary Catch.

I had a devil of a time trying to locate them here in Australia but eventually located a supplier not far from me.

If I brought them from our Australian Birkin agent they were just stupidly expensive .

Just find a Dzus supplier and you will be able to source them.

The correct ones will have the word "DZUS" on the mounting plinth.

Here is a shot of the latches I have. I'm pretty sure they are the ones you need. I only have two of the hooks for the latches though. What parts are you looking for?
