BruceBowker Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 I think I asked this before but forget. Current tires on a car are 165/70R15. Tire Rack does not have these. And since I want to get 4 other tires from them would like to order all 8 at the same time. They do have 175/65R15. I can see that speedo won't change much at all but overall size etc in the wheel well is my big question. Are these wider by much? Thanks for any help. Bruce
drew... Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Approximately 10 mm wider - a little more than 3/8".
BruceBowker Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Drew - thanks. I assume the current wheel should be OK to use? Bruce
jlumba81 Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Tire Rack has the tire "tread width" and "section width" listed under "specs". Some tires are actually wider or narrower than their advertised sizes. Make sure you have enough clearance w the fenders and fender supports.
