MNlotus Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I just bought these new nitrons for my caterham along with the widetrack suspension kit. I was wondering what i should adjust the spring preload to for the front and the rears before install these on my cars. Id like a slightly lower or stock ride height, nothing too low. Thanks
drew... Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Best bet is to install them, place car on a level surface and load the cockpit with your intended driver/passenger weight. Adjust front springs to 5" from lower frame to level surface at rear lower a-arm mounting point (or lower a arm level with ground). Then adjust rear spring heights to 5.75" from the lower frame rail at the rear a-arm mounting point to the level surface. As a pre-set, to be close at assembly, measure the existing assemblies as you remove them and adjust the nitrons to approximately the same height.
