Extension for oil filter?

I am installing Hayabusa engine (gen 1) in a small car and I do not have space for the oil filter in its original place. Is there a "system" for extension for the oil filter? I.e. can I install a pipe/tube where the oil filter is located on the engine and move the oil filter away from the engine?

If yes, please advice where to buy.

do a google search for-- remote oil filter kit or oil filter relocation, and use your engine or filter number to refine the search. there are kits with an adapter in place of your oil filter and use hose and a remote filter mount that can be put where you want it. john

Canton makes a right angle filter adapter that might fit. They also have a remote filter mount. I have this arrangement on my Honda Blackbird engined 7 that I bought from Summit Racing, although I'm sure there are other sources. I'm assuming the Hyabusa has a 20mm mounting thread. You have many connection hose choices - good luck.

I started on searching, but I did not find the kit, that is why I seek your help here. If it is so easy, kindly help my finding this kit.

Also try Canton Racing Products. They list a 90 degree swivel adapter and matching remote mount. Canton also sold by Summit Racing at discount price.

 

As for a 'kit' I'm thinking you will have to make up your own. Summit also carries connectors and hose that you can cut and fit to your requirement.
