My Westfield Seven has coilover / Spax adjustable shocks. The car sits a bit too low in the front and I want to raise it up a bit. I noticed the threaded collar rings ( I don't know what they are called ) on the lower threaded part of the shocks are all the way at the bottom. Also, If I push down on the front it will go down but not come back up..unless I pull it back up! I was thinking to raise them up around an inch, would this be a good starting point? Thanks, Darrell

Another interesting thing I noticed about my early Westfield Seven, The center of my rear axle / drive shaft is offset to one side in the tunnel. Is this normal? Looking at pictures of other Sevens on the internet I found another car similar to mine that seems to be the same way. Would love to hear some input about this. Darrell

I picked up a "prelit" Westfield Seven a few weeks ago. Kind of a "project" car. One of the first things I noticed was that the engine ( Ford Kent xflow) was in crooked. upon further inspection the driveshaft at the rear of the trans ( Sierra T-9 5 speed ) was slightly rubbing the frame due to the engine being crooked. With a floor jack under the engine, I took off the mounts to see what it would take to get it sitting straight. It turns out the "lump" on the R/S of the bell housing behind the starter was the problem. I would up cutting out that section of the bell housing and now have the motor sitting fairly straight and the drive shaft in the middle where it should be. Only problem is now my motor mounts won't line up anywhere near where they should ( I don't know what kind they are ) and I must fabricate some. Has anyone else gone through this installing a T-9 trans? I would love to hear some input and opinions. Thanks, Darrell
