Folks,
Listing my car after some wise advice from Bob that this is the place to list the car. I listed it 3 times on eBay and never got close to what the car is worth.
Stunning 2007 Caterham Superlight-R S3 Chassis. This is no ordinary caterham. The car was spec'd and built with all the best options available at the time. The car is painted ferrari daytona yellow. The car has only 1,750 miles on it and is in better than new condition. Any little bugs have been sorted and the car drives perfectly. The paintwork is excellent, everything works as it should. The car is loaded with carbon, seats, dash, wings, mirrors etc.. Engine is a tuned 2.0L Ford Ztec. Car comes with 3.9 LSD, HP Front Brakes, adjustable brake bias, sidetrack front suspension, adjustable spring sets, quick release steering column, composite race seats, carbon fiber dash, nose cone, sill protectors & wings, 4 point harness, roll over bar, heat insulation kit, spare wheel and carrier, 15" wheels, black windscreen & headlight bowls, Car comes with all the weather equipment, side doors, roof and fresh air heater. Pure, raw driving pleasure, guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Check out the caterham website today and you will see that to spec such a car today with chassis, engine and build will cost in excess of $80K.. Cheap to maintain, reliable (The only issue the car has is it doesn't like being stored and not driven, especially in the cold and so can be difficult to start when cold). It will make great weekend drivers/track toys. Car has a New Hampshire vin NH010347 but is now titled in PA and has a clean lien free title. This particular car has never seen the track and only occasional dry weather weekend drives. The car needs to find a new owner who appreciates it for what it is and drives it. Why am I selling?.. I just don't drive it enough and need the space in the garage for another toy.. and somebody should pick it up now that spring is coming. Oh, I forgot to mention it won an award at the 2014 New Hope Auto show!!.. additional pictures available on request.
I am in no hurry to sell the car and so will not let it go for anything less than $43,000... way less than the build cost of an equivalent car.
Regards HP quoted. For clarity I originally listed the car at 220hp as that is what I figured for the car given what I was told and what seemed logical. I was then contacted by original owner who informed me the car actually had a racing ztec tuned to 275hp. Apparently this has some people questioning this figure. As such I make no representation as to the HP and will say it's somewhere north of 200... I will dyno when I get a chance just to see!!.
