Bought a Barn Find Lotus Super Seven Series 4. The side steel panels are rusted through. Looking to see if anyone has drawings for the panels? let me know, I can always take what I have to a metal fabricator and see if he can fabricate new ones thanks Tom

Thanks Guys. It ended up the washer between the two bushings was rusted to the bolt, big time. Had to saw it apart. Thanks for the article. May need some help soon sourcing the bushing. Rubber is pretty rough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looking for some help. I recently purchased a barn find. It is a 1970 Lotus Super Seven Series 4. http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=13619&stc=1 It is in pretty rough shape, the bonded steel side panels are rusted through in a couple of places, so it looks like the fiberglass body needs to come off, so we can have some new panels bent. The problem I have right now is the two rear bolts that go through the body, frame and rear trailing arm won't come out. http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=13617&stc=1 This picture show the head of the bolt from the inside. http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=13618&stc=1 This shows the view from underneath the car, the nut is off the bolt. The bolt turns inside both the suspension arm and the frame, but the bolt won't come out, I've tried pounding on the end with a punch and hammer and nothing is moving. Anyone out there that may be able to give me some direction or ideas?????? Thanks you in advance for your help. Just picked up a 1970 Series 4 that has been sitting for about 12 years. Just trying to determine what is there and not there. Has anyone replaced the steel side panels? Mine have rust holes. Does that mean the tubes are rusted through too? How big of job is it to replace? Does anyone make the replacement panels. Any help or direction would be welcomed. Thanks Race06
