  1. It's been tuned to run on 94 octane. Current status is that it's considered sold. A check is supposed to be delivered today. It's slated to go into a Caterham, but without the 6-spd.
  2. The engine was upgraded at the beginning of this year with: Forged crank including keyed harmonic and timing chain sprocket K1 H-beam rods Supertech 11.2 pistons and rings King XP main brgs and Clevite rod brgs Lightweight flywheel (9 lb) HD clutch and PP Balanced Mild cams (Caterham 420 spec) Crower upgraded valve springs ARP head studs Short velocity stack plenum intake manifold with stock throttle body External dry sump system with TurboSport pan and remote oil filter 4-2-1 header and MagnaFlow muffler 28 lb injectors, starter, alternator, 60-2 trigger wheel Solid engine mounts Can provide tune for Electromotive ECU Used for Autox March thru July. Datalogs indicate 175 whp at 7500 rpm In car video of the last run on 7-7-19 before the engine was removed to make way for a turbo 1.4 L: The package as described $5000 Without the dry sump system, but with the stock oil pump and a shaved stock pan (2" shorter) $4000 A 2008 Miata 6-speed $500 Can deliver within 600 miles of Boise. It's a great engine for a street and/or open track Caterham. Ron
  3. They must have removed it just before you searched. The bid closed at 8am pacific for $9,001.01 and will be headed to Rhode Island.
  4. The car is now listed on eBay motors and there's just 24 hrs remaining. Current bid is $7100 and will sell.
  5. Asking price reduced to $17k. Some may want to know if they'd fit in an S3. So, here are some pics of my leg space in the car with the current, very comfortable bench seats that are in it. I'm 6 ft tall and 170 lbs. The steering wheel is removable, but I've had no problem getting in and out with the wheel in-place. If the seats were replaced with an aluminum bucket type seat, there would be even more leg room. The seat width area is 16" on both sides. http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=14581&stc=1http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=14582&stc=1http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=14583&stc=1
  6. Speedwagon, Thanks for your generous offer. I'll take at least 2 (in the case that someone else here also wants some) and send you a pm regarding your Ogden trip.
  7. If the current colors aren't acceptable, I can paint it to your spec, say white with blue stripes or yellow with a BRG stripe, or something wild. I've been doing custom paint jobs for decades. Also included are some good spares, a 5-speed transmission, a limited slip differential and two half-shafts. Some of the new parts on the car are the radiator, gps speedometer, wheels/tires, brake pads, front rotors, engine timing belt, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate.
  8. Back in June I advertised this car in it's racing trim. Since there wasn't any interest, the car has been returned to street trim and the engine changed to an EFI Mazda 1.8 liter DOHC from a '94 Protege (forged crank). The car still has the RX7 5-speed and IRS. The ECU is Electromotive TEC-GT (will train on tuning adjustments). Innovate WB and datalogger. It has current Idaho registration. If a buyer wants the nose cone painted red or would prefer clamshell fenders, those can be done. Can deliver within 600 miles. $20,000. ronreese13bt(at)yahoo.com
  9. Bob, Sorry that I hid it in line two of post one, but asking 20k.
  10. BTW, the steering wheel can be seen in action on the youtube videos I've posted over the last several years. My ID there is the same as here.
  11. Hey Bob, The steering wheel was "heisted" from another car ........ a March 84C Indy car. It's been working fine for over three decades. I think you answered your own question. Yes, they are kidding you. Ron
  12. Included with the car are front and rear wings. If one wanted to convert the drivetrain back to the way it was run in the late 80's, I still have the Lotus 907 engine and Mazda ultra-close ratio 4-spd. The engine suffered a spun rod bearing and needs the rod journals turned down 0.020". Included would be the Mikuni 44 carbs, 2 blocks, 2 heads, good set of rods, stock pistons, Arias 12.5 to 1 pistons, dry sump pan and tank. $1500 for this package.
  13. I need to make room in the garage for a new racecar, so this one is for sale. It's a one-owner car. Calif registration as 85 Autkt, no smog rq'd, $20,000. Powered by '87 Mazda 13B turbo. Datalog from last event showed peak accel of 1.0 g, 293 ft-lb TQ, 357 HP at 6400 rpm and 13.9 psi. Freshened 2016. Mazdatrix 4.3 lb flywheel and 5.5" twin disc clutch 2nd gen RX7 NT 5-speed 2nd gen RX7 IRS, 5.12 gear, type-2 miata gleason dry sump scavenge, stock pressure supply 55 gpm Meziere electric water pump Wilwood calipers Tilton pedals Autometer gages Electromotive TEC-GT Innovate WB and datalogger Intercooler and oil cooler in nose, 19 x 30 alum. rad in sidepod with twin elec fans Have stock body panels/windshield/lights 2 sets Real wheels, 13 x 10 ft, 13 x 12 rear ronreese13bt(at)yahoo.com
