  1. Rumor has it that John has ordered a Palatov D2 and might use an H1V8 engine from John Hartley for power. See http://www.dpcars.net then D2 and http://www.h1V8.com
  2. I'm glad Shane got the car. His initial building of the car to basically a mocked up "roller" stage set the bar for the remainder of the build... with several mods in the end, but now it's his turn to make it his own. Sometimes things come full circle. My new car/build is progressing and for those who have asked - it'll be one of these (not orange though - but it's a great photo).
  3. Hello John, I hope you're doing well. I will not be attending the Ambush next month. And, my new car likely won't be completed till late Sept. - maybe. Be safe - Mike
  4. Hello scott - Robin here in Richmond is grabbing them.
  5. Yep, Robin stopped by yesterday with his Stalker and we had a good chat on 7’s, cars and stalker’s generally. The next time remind me – I have brand new accessory belts (supercharger and alternator/water pump) that I had as spares when my car had the V-6 supercharged engine – free to a good home. BTW: John Meyers stalker - 530hp, GM V-8 LS376/dry-sumped car with race extras is even faster. I believe John placed overall 5th or 6th at one of the UTTC (Ultimate Track Car Challenges) at VIR, and is a very talented/fearless driver (170mph+ up the long south course back straight....going up a blind hill no less !!!) Full course time of 2:00.421 - that my friend is smokin' fast - against several cars that cost 3-4 times as much. IIRC the trans-axle in the 2011 Riley Technologies Mark XXII that competed cost more than John's whole car! So, mine's not the fastest :-)
  6. Avery - ya need to finish that LS3 powered monster and hit the streets. I couldn't have said it better.... :-)
  7. Kitcat - thanks for the info. I'll post some photos over the weekend - right now I don't get home from work till dark.... in the meantime here's a video link to my car getting chassis dyno tuned in December. -- Mike
  8. The car has been sold. Super V-8 Stalker is offered for sale. Chassis# 85 This car is very fast - powered by a LS6 aluminum corvette engine. Stock LS6 with a cold air intake and headers. A conservative dyno tune was employed; there was no reason to pull every bit of horsepower from the motor considering the weight of the car, and my goal of having a power plant that was reliable, used easily obtainable parts, has a bunch of room for mods if wanted - all with longevity in mind. The motor was tuned by one of the best in the GM LS series arena - Steve AKA "Tuned by Frost" - right here in Richmond. The car starts and runs like a modern car until one gets into the throttle - then hang on. Gobs of torque off idle (approx. 300Ft.lbs. at wheels @ 2.5k RPM & builds) No need to wring it out through the gears, but you can if you must. It has very good street manners with power on tap at all times. Throttle response is very progressive (not an on/off switch) and the car is quite drivable and civilized. I wish I could narrate what this car feels like under acceleration, but I’m not a writer – so onto the facts: LS6 V-8 (Chassis dyno'd/tuned 371whp/355wtq at the wheels or approx. 425hp engine) Dyno sheet is available Powdered coated frame, cage, front control arms, spindle & rear-end housing 50PSI+ oil pressure at hot idle, 65PSI+ under throttle New Tremec TKO 600 Trans & Clutch system Quicktime blow proof bell housing ATI Pulley/damper Wilwood Disc brakes on fronts, Grand-Am Disc brakes on rear Wilwood floor mounted pedal set-up C&R Racing alloy radiator and cooling fan (mounted in-board) Auto-Meter II Gauges (Speedo,Tach, Oil pressure, Oil Temp, Water Temp, Fuel gauge, Voltage gauge) Dash mounted low oil pressure warning light Raptor adjustable (no pills) mini shift light. Discreetly mounted under dash Cold air intake Full roll cage with side protection 3.23 Yukon rear gear set with Torsen LSD Moser Axles Toyo R1R tires (205/50/15) Tilton triple chamber - one piece brake/clutch reservoir Lokar throttle linkage/cable setup Ultra-Shield road race seat - driver side Five point seat harness (driver & passenger) New Red-Top battery Thermo-coated headers, mufflers & turn-outs - Hushpower II exhaust mufflers (great tone & quiet) Upgraded GAZ shocks & springs (600lb. front & 300lb. rear) New alternator and an additional new in-box spare 18 gallon gas tank Fasteners are mostly from McMaster-Carr & Aircraft-Spruce (AN) High quality build - overbuilt really Painted 2009 dodge challenger red “Torred” with grey fenders (non-metallic – clear coated) Approx. 5k miles on chassis – 1,500 miles since conversion from the GM 3.8L Super Charged V-6 to current LS6 V-8 Titled, registered and plated as a 1964 Lotus 7 in Virginia The car runs very strong, handles, brakes and does everything a "super 7" should, but with a little more gusto. I just purchased another car and frankly will not have the room for the Stalker.
  9. Whittaker has the 3800 N/A (non aspirated) or non-supercharged engine. I'm not wanting to swap ECM's , wiring harness, engines etc. if someone has already ran the bugs out of theirs. But, thanks for the thoughts -- Mike
  10. Well, my bike sold (prior post) and I'm moving onto the next stage... the car. There seems to be some nice Stalker V6's out there and a couple 3.4 Liters that can be had in the $16.5 thru $18.5k range. Tim W's car has everything I want except..alas the 3800 super charged engine. I'm looking for a completed properly/well built super stalker with the 3800 SC engine. Dollar range in the low 20's. -maybe more. Regards, Mike (mike@firstchoiceclaims.net)
  11. New member here - 1st rounds on me. I've looked at 7's on and off for several years now and the bug is back. For those selling their cars I don't know want your situation is - looking for cash, moving on to something different or whatever but I thought I'd throw this out there. I'm looking to trade my motorcycle plus cash for a Super Stalker 3800SC. I'm the original owner of a 2005 Harley Davidson Road King Classic - fuel injected version, factory cruise control, air shocks etc. The bike has several expensive upgrades (no bling.. just upgrades that make a difference) H-D oil pressure and temperature gauge including the factory dealer installed Stage II big bore kit (pistons, cyclinders, cam). The bike has about 1,680 miles on it, runs like new, looks like new, it's never been down or seen rain (it basically is new) . I haven't thought about selling it because I hate dealing with the general biker tire kicker public. Cars I've owned: fiat 850, spyder - Triumph tr4, tr6, - BMW M3 - Lotus Elan - Corvette - Superformance Cobra - and too many bikes to list. I got this idea in my head that before we exit this earth we all need to experience as many of the great sport cars and bikes as we can - life's short. So if there's any interest out there - give me a holler. Regards-Peace Mike Sharkey-- Richmond, VA
