  1. I have a 85 Caterham Live Axle car. Would this possible be a wheel bearing and how hard are they to do. I have an Ital/marina axle. I replaced the big bushing at the rear 500 miles ago along with all others around the live axle. No clunking there. Also. Has anyone ever had their driveshaft loosen up (the bolts) I am getting a slightly loud clunk when touching and releasing the gas at 30-50 (probably cause at high speeds I could not hear). I have not driven the car, but plan on getting into it later this week. Thank you Richard Gibson Annandale, VA
  2. Thanks for the info. Very enlightening. Revving to 9K... I was just shooting for 7700rpm. I have pused that threshold with a RMP limiter and never experienced valve float, so Roger Must be right. The motor has been running good. Richard
  3. I was under the understanding that the valves tend to float at higher RPM. I thought the roller rockers would solve this. Is there another way? Richard
  4. When I take a fast left hand turn (medium speed for a 7) or an all out left hander I hea what appears to sound like a squeal or screach (but not loud). It does not vary much in volume or have any direct effect on handling. I have an '85 Caterham Live axle car. I am thinking could it possibly be a wheel bearing? The car is excellent and has 15K miles on it. Thank you for any ideas? Richard Gibson Annandle, VA (Washington DC area) 703-207-0066
  5. Did you sell it? Is this the Radiator with the 4 monting points to the front of the frame..... Why did you replace it??? How much do you want. Approximately, how deep is it? Richard Annandale, VA 703-207-0066
  6. Hi Gang, I am looking for Roller Rockers for 1700 Ford Crossflow. I am also looking for a remote Oil Cooler. My car is an '85 Caterham...FYI. I Replaced the Stock 1" thick Radiator (what were they thinking...the replacement radiator is 4x bigger) with the newer Huge Copper Radiator, right before the ALUMINUM one came out. 7. In regards to wheels, what bolt pattern? I have a set of prfect wheels for Autocrossing/racing. Maybe better for street and autocrossing?? Who Knows? They are Lotus Elan wheels that have been widened from 13x4" to 13x7". They need a sandblasting and paint. They are the 3-3/4" bolt pattern found on earlier Caterhams and most Live Axles. I don't know if De-Dion's ever came in this patter, but I don't think so. Richard Wash DC 703-207-0066
  8. Anybody recommend anyone and have any idea on the costs. Thanks, Richard Gibson Annandale, VA 703-207-0066
