WOW! Doc Harmony (Kevin Boultin's wife) is amazing.
M. Harmony replied to kitmfgr's topic in Off Topic
You guys are way toooooo nice (just ask my husband ... hee hee hee smile!) Thank you very much for thinking so well of me. I am just glad that I can be there to help you guys out! I truly get a thrill out of helping someone out so that they can get back to doing what they love to do! It is so frustrating to not be able to race or ride a dirt bike or ski because you are 'hurt' or in pain. I like fixing people to get them back in their game! If there is anything that I can do to help you, please do not hesitate to let me know. Doc Harmony -

It's is all fixed Kevin is at the race shop getting the alignment completed ... ! The guy who welded our car is apparently is apparently a welding genius. It is always a good feeling when you say "so and so" worked on our car and everyone goes - wow! He's the man! So once again we were very lucky. Our first event is at 9:55 - practice run ... then 3 more events after that to determine the Ultimate Track Car Challenge. Well it is 1:30 a.m. and we just finished repairing the car! Can you believe it, during the 3rd practice session when Kevin came onto the straight away, he stood on the throttle and felt the rear end kick out. At the end of the straight away when he stood on the brakes, the left rear tire started wobbling violently. He nearly lost control of the car. He crippled it off the track and once in the pits we found that he had jerked one of the inboard suspension pickups completely out of the frame. We have it all welded back together and all we have to do is complete a front end alignment and we are back in the race We have the new slicks installed and we are ready to rock and roll. We will post more pictures tomorrow. Cheers!http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1860705841_weld job.JPG

Well, we are almost at Button Willow Racetrack for the Ultimate Track Car Challenge and the Ultimate Green Car Challenge. Exhausted and weary from driving since 4 a.m. Thursday (you would think we would be used to this by now ... sigh) we are excited about practice tomorrow. We will also be picking up our slicks tomorrow afternoon and mounting them on Mojito ... do you think she is thrilled with this mounting concept? We shall see if she is Sunday when she has to perform and out run some serious competition. But I am not worried ... I know that Kevin will be awesome! I love watching him drive Mojito! (I wonder if he will let me drive this time seeing as I get much better time in the excursion than he does Of course, when he is sleeping he does not like the fact that the gps shows that I might be going 93 mph with the trailer on ... I think that it is malfunctioning) http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/141290063_IMG_0157.JPG

Yeah! The results are now posted at: www.onelapofamerica.com How cool is that! Silly sweet! Here is an example of how wet it was at Texas World Speedway. We are still looking to find Kevins pic where he created a 30 foot rooster tail behind him. Stay tuned! http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1486629798_tws challenger.jpg

It is I that feels so special around you! You really know how to make a girl smile!

Thank you all for your support, cheers and excitement. To clarify some things: I am the 3rd woman in the top 10, 2nd woman in the top 5 and top 3. A female named Jean won several years with her male co driver. They placed first. However, NONE of them did it in an open cockpit car! None of them had to brave the elements, find fuel in out of the way places, and absolutely NONE of them won in a car that their husband built with his own hands! (I am so proud of him). Also, we are the first 4 cylinder car to be on the podium, the first alternatively fueled car to be in the top 10, the first open cock pit car to be in the top 10, the first hand made car to be in the top 10, ... am I forgetting anything. Kiki is a great gal but she borrowed her car from Noble. Kevin and I braved the elements together and with good wishes from guys like you, our family and friends, we were able to take 3rd place! We would also like to thank everyone who showed up to cheer us on - Barb and Chuck, Loren, Bob, Paul, Robert and Gary! Thank you sooooo much! That was so cool having you guys there! It really helped draw attention to what an awesome car the 7 is.
