  1. Hey Bruce, I actually met with club member JohnCh back in June and purchased his '95 Westfield SeiW (https://www.throttle-steer.com/westfield1.html). I drive it every opportunity I get and am looking forward to joining as many Se7en events as time, work and "the boss" will allow in the years to come. Drew
  2. Thanks Scott! That's an awesome shade of blue on your Caterham. I've been in the Raleigh / Durham area a few times on business years ago. Gorgeous countryside out your way!
  3. Hey Jim, as a born & raised member of the PNW allow me to say Welcome to our rainy little corner of the country . I grew up in Aberdeen so I'm pretty familiar with the Olympic Peninsula. I'm fairly new to the Se7en world as well (June '25) and up until you mentioned it I didn't even know there was a WWABFM. It sounds like a hoot, and I hope to make it there. I live in Puyallup so it's ~1+ hr depending on traffic (which can be pretty crappy on both Hwy 167 as well as I-405). Nonetheless, I'm now on their mailing list so as soon as they announce a date for '26 I'll do my best to get it on the calendar with the boss. I'd like to hear about your build. Hopefully it's ready in time for the meet. Drew
  4. Apologies for not following up from my interest in the Se7en community from about 6 months ago. In late June of this year I met with member JohnCh and drove and purchased his amazing 1995 Westfield SEiW. The first event I got to take it to was the annual Boeing car show. It came away with a very respectable 3rd place out of about 50 vehicles! It's now residing in the only carpeted portion of my garage and waiting patiently for the next decent day to go tear up some asphalt. Just in case anyone is wondering.....Yes, this is "the" red 1995 Westfield from the March 1996 issue of Road & Track magazine. I am currently the 3rd owner / caretaker of this lovely little monster. The car went through an incredible metamorphosis while under John's ownership and is so much more than it was in the beginning. If you're interested, John has gloriously documented this car's life here, (https://www.throttle-steer.com/westfield1.html), from his first encounter with it in 1997 through the sale to me in June 2025. More pics to come as the next chapter unfolds. One day I might be able to wipe the s**t-eating grin off my face when I get behind the wheel, but not anytime soon!
  5. I hadn't seen this before, thanks much! Looks like there's a sevener just a few miles away.
  6. This seems like as good a place as any to place my first post. I'm brand new to the USA7s community and "think" I'd like to become an owner in the relatively near future. My budget is a bit limited (<$30K), so my options are equally limited. The reason I'm still in the thinking mode is whereas I like the idea of owning a 7 (or an 11 for that matter), I've never even been up-close and personal with one (let alone ever getting to ride in or drive one). So what I'm hoping to find is a current owner in the PNW area (I live in Puyallup) who would be willing to let me see theirs (maybe even a ride) to see if it's something I honestly want to pursue. So......anybody interested in teaching a newbie what owning and driving a 7 is like? Thanks much!
