  1. Smaller is great already, using a similar led profile to the 6-7mm suggested for the larger. I'll get a test in better light for the larger with the 10-12mm strip in brighter conditions
  2. The above example video is the 10-12mm in near darkness. I can arrange a more representative video in 'normal' garage type lighting.
  3. It would indeed! An update: I've reviewed a few different led profile types and have a couple of options. If buyers are happy with a slimer led line (more in the 6-7mm range) I can increase the overall brightness of the strips, whereas a more 10-12mm wide strip would be more in line with the relative ratios, would be a little dimmer. If potential buyers are happy with a slimmer led line, we can get these into production!
  4. Test article the first... PXL_20260211_182432454~3.mp4
  5. Machining tests went great today. When LEDs and profile arrive in the next day or two, and I can confirm dimensions (Internet dimensions sometimes a bit... Loose) I'll machine a frame and assemble the proto. Then I'll ask for deposit (50%) with the remaining 50% due before shipping. If anyone wants one, best place a bid now so I know how many large parts to order. Small ones are available in primary colours at short notice currently.
  6. Alright, so.... both? LED Profile and tape are due early next week, and I've got enough Polypropylene sheet that I should be able to make a prototype, and 2 production items. They will come with a small controller box allowing both rings to be addressed separately as a complete ring, or per pixel (approximately 100 per ring). Control is achieved over Wi-Fi from your phone. You will need to source a 5v 10-15a power supply from somewhere locally with a barrel jack output.
  7. So, for those of you interested in the 2" wall mounted signs. Please find below a dimensions outline. And a question: Would you prefer a skeleton frame (right, lighter, a bit more fragile) or a solid "shield" type frame (left)? Intention would be to make them fully colour/pixel customisable to your needs. They won't be cheap mind...
  8. Red and White contrast option... Still working on getting enough stock built up to satisfy orders.
  9. I'm just going to leave this here
  10. I'll do a bit of research into what a 2' wall 7 would take. Would you want a wider LED band? Currently the LED is approximately 6mm wide, which matches the width/overall dims of the inspiration item. It would need to be more like 15-16mm wide to maintain the ratio, which is definitely doable. Amusingly you're the only ones who have requested a larger 7, something something Americans and bigger... I'll get back to those of you who have emailed and see what I can get sorted out for you. There is also a future plan to put a fully RGB SMD LED version which would allow for all your livery matching you might want to do, but that's going to be much more expensive and a small way off yet, and could theoretically scale to about 14-15in max without investing in a much larger pick and place machine. Though a larger version (say 2') could be put together with a less dense LED profile. @Vovchandr - If you let me know which way round you'd want the red/white I will put together a sample for you. Thanks all!
  11. And a 2 footer is not out of the question by any means, we recently came into possession of a very large cnc router...
  12. Afternoon all, it is I the aforementioned Oliver. Firstly, I'm very pleased to hear that you're enjoying your light pickles! Secondly to those who I have not replied to, my apologies. No excuse really apart from the day job got in the way in the form of 100~ hour weeks for the last few months. In the short term I am to build at a stack of lights, anyone who previously contacted me will have their price honoured. For any new customers the price will increase somewhat. I am also considering partnering with a relevant established seller as the logistics side of things is the biggest hurdle to timely dispatch (can't go to the drop off point if you're in a workshop 7am-9pm daily). More news to come when I have it.
