Initially I was trained in engineering and mathematics, but worked primarily with computer systems and software throughout my career (and now in retirement too). I always loved sports cars, sports car racing, and sports car design. In particular, I liked Lotus sports cars and their simplicity. Raising a family and doing all the usual real life things made it impracticable to own a Lotus. However, in retirement, I set about to build a Lotus 7 like sports car, and that's what I'm now doing.
