aside from potential clogging issues noted above does the foam work well? does it use much of the tank capacity if as many foam cubes as possible are fitted? i have the earlier tank design as well and a surge tank had been installed by a prior owner with a second fuel pump, filter and a myriad of fuel lines. it works fine but the secondary pump is very noisy and i am considering taking it out to simplify the setup and eliminate the noise. thoughts?

thanks a lot, and sorry for no replies. the car was technically already street legal in CA but at the time of purchase but the prior owner had misplaced the title at the time of sale. when i tried to renew the registration the DMW told me that according to their records the car did not exist . . . . thankfully the title was eventually found so it all worked out fine. those are the standard fenders that came with the car. backspacing on the wheels is slightly different than others, the prior owner posted once about having the trim a bit off the corner of the front brake calipers for wheel clearance. doing some varied repairs this weekend and putting on new (to me anyway) wheels. hopefully it will be on the road by monday!

i noticed today that my right rear lower suspension pickup point is located about an 1" to the rear of the chassis bar behind the passenger seat. this pickup point appears to have been repaired or relocated at some time, as it is painted rather than powdercoated. any ideas? TIA.

interesting, safeco would only give me liability coverage. i switched to hagerty.

the OMEX shiftlight pro seems like a nice solution -- unobtrusive single red LED for shift point. http://www.omextechnology.co.uk/Revlimiters/revlimiters.htm

WCM S2K Ultralite Wheel and Tire Recommendations?
powerbookguy replied to powerbookguy's topic in Wheels and Tires
after spending far too much time researching wheel sizes and availability for the ultralite i am tentatively planning on custom made bogart racing 17x8 fronts with falken RT615 225s and 17x10 rears with falken RT615 275s. i currently have a set of 16x10 and 16x12 bogart road race wheels and while not cheap they are solidly made and lightweight. the question i have regards backspace, in particular the clearance from the inboard wheel lip edge to the bicycle fender support up front and from the inboard wheel lip edge to the chassis skin in the back. the current 16x10 bogart wheel clears the calipers front and back just fine but it seems too far outboard in the rear -- there is approximately 2" of space between the wheel lip and the chassis. this same wheel mounted up front has approximately 1" of space between the wheel lip and bicycle fender support, which to me seems just about right. can others chime in on what inboard clearances their wheel setup has front and back so i can make a informed decision as to backspace? i would appreciate any other feedback about my proposed setup as well, especially the advisability of using a 17x8 and 17x10 staggered setup. TIA. -

Got my tags yesterday, street legal at last! Well, other than those Hoosiers, anyway . . . . Just need some proper street wheels and tires and to get the suspension dialed in and I'll be good to go!

thanks again for all the helpful info, i'd be lost without you guys. is there anyway to tell if the rear end is from the STI? seller told me the differential had been changed for better acceleration and i was given the original differential as well. they look pretty similar from the outside though i have not gone over them that closely. thank you. -

thanks for the insight. i would appreciate the importer contact info. are the offsets shown below correct? 17" front 8" wide 5/100 35mm 17" rear 9" wide 5/100 43mm should i be looking to get the wheels bored for hubcentric mounting without centering rings? thanks.
