  1. Hi Mazda, Yes I decided on an Exige since I felt that the se7ev would only see more garage time. I would still love to go for a ride in one
  2. Hi Jeff, would love too. Also guy's I'm going to entertain reasonable offers for the 996, if anyone is interested. Thanks Mick
  3. Looking forward to the meets. Thanks, Mick
  4. Hi John thanks for the informative reply. The individual mentions that the car has already been licensed in MD - does this mean that there will not be any issues come emissions inspection (held every two years in MD). Thanks and Mazda has been very kind to introduce me to a fellow local whom I hope to experience the se7en with as passenger!
  5. Hi John my initial pursuit was for an Elise or Exige but I was offered a trade for the 996 with this Caterham therefore I decided to do a little research. The next car will be similarly used just for weekend purposes and starting light track duty during the warmer months.
  6. Excellent information and thanks for getting me those additional pictures and a summary of overall performance numbers.
  7. He has it listed for 29 which seems high for a 97 or maybe I have no clue What kind if 0-60/0-100 could one expect from these.
  8. Here is a pic of one I saw it's a 1997 with 4500 miles 185 hp Raceline Zetec, 5 speed. Twin Webers. but I have no idea what kind of performance numbers it's putting out. What are Twin Webbers?
  9. Hello everyone, wow so many responses The 996 pictured is mine and the picture was taken at the Fort Hunt Meet in VA. In terms of 0-60 and handling I would say she's def in the 4.7 range since it came to 2940 after a recent weigh in. For those that are curious here are the full specs: Mileage: 25,500 Full MK1 Aero Kit 19" Champion RG5b's with Michelin PS2 RSS Plenum TechArt Suspension TechArt Sports Filter TechArt ShiftKnob TechArt Pedals TechArt Race version Exhaust with OEM larger sports tips B&M Short Shifter Euro OEM Black Leather GT3 seats Removed rear seats GT3 Console Delete Litronics Full leather with black suede headliner I've never actually tried autoxing but would like this year to contain some track events and really enjoy it. I would love to be a passenger in a seven. Does anyone know what kind of performance to expect from the one I listed in my opening post - it states 185hm 1.8 cc. Cheers Lads!
  10. Hello everyone, my name is Mick and I'm originally from the UK. I have been contemplating switching cars and currently own a 996 C2 that has been a pleasure for over the last three years - in terms of reliability and fun! I have been a fan of Caterham for a while now and came across the folloiwng from a local but I have no idea about 7's (yet). The specs are listed as: Caterham 7 Zetec: 185 hp Raceline Zetec, 5 speed. Twin Webers. Given this does anyone know what kind of performance one can expect? Here is a picture of my current weekend driver. Many thanks.
